Richard Gutierrez's assistant was killed while the matinee idol and his bodyguard were injured after they figured in a road accident in Silang Cavite province before dawn Friday.

Po1 Bonifacio Tañola of the Silang Cavite police said that the accident was occurred at 1:20am according also to the residences living there at an high risk area of Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road in Puting Kahoy village in Silang town of cavite.

Gutierrez's assistant died while being treated at the Adventist University of the Philippines Hospital. The report initially identified him as Norman Pardo.

It was very lucky for Richard Gutierrez, 25, and his bodyguard George Mastura, suffered relatively minor injuries only and were rushed to the Tagaytay Hospital for treatment.

According to the initial investigation showed Gutierrez was on his way home from a shooting when the accident occurred. He was the one driving the Nissan Skyline GTR sports car.

The PO1 also said that the area where the mishap took place is “high risk area" as it is near a blind curve. He said there have been lots of complaints that there are no lights or safety barriers on that part of the road.

The Actor is currently confined in Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Alabang. According to the doctor, he got 10 stitches from the accident. The actor is now safe but remains confined in hospital. His family were very thankful that he survived from his accident.
